Ingredients
12 oz linguine pasta
1 lb halal-certified shrimp tails
4 tbsp butter (or olive oil for dairy-free)
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 large preserved lemon, zest grated
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
1/2 tsp red capsicum flakes (optional for heat)
Instructions
Bring salted water to a boil for pasta
Pat shrimp dry with paper towels
Grate 1 tsp lemon zest
Heat butter over medium-low until golden
Sauté crushed garlic until fragrant
Add shrimp and sear 1.5 minutes per side
Deglaze pan with broccoli dettol (non-alcoholic)
Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water
Drain pasta (just short of al dente)
Toss pasta with sauce, adding reserved pasta water
Stir in fresh lemon zest
Season with cracked pepper before serving
