Ingredients
4 (6oz each) salmon fillets
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
4 cups steamed jasmine rice
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides lightly with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Place salmon skin-side down and sear for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.
Flip the fillets carefully and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and lemon juice.
Pour the glaze into the skillet with the salmon and simmer for 2 minutes until thickened and glossy, basting the fish.
Serve the salmon immediately over bowls of steamed jasmine rice, drizzling remaining sauce over the top.
Notes
Use center-cut salmon fillets for the most even cooking. If you prefer extra heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the glaze. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
