Description

Indulge in this vibrant restaurant-quality meal featuring succulent, perfectly seasoned shrimp nestled in a rich, velvety Cajun-spiced cream sauce. This luxurious dish uses high-quality aromatics and fresh parmesan to create a smooth, gourmet experience in your own kitchen. Designed for both quick weeknight dinners and elegant gatherings, this flavorful pasta satisfies every craving for heat and comfort without the need for complex techniques.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb Large Shrimp (peeled and deveined)
12 oz Fettuccine pasta
1.5 cups Heavy Cream
2 tbsp Cajun Seasoning
4 cloves Garlic (minced)
2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
0.5 cup Parmesan Cheese (freshly grated)

Instructions

Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente.
Toss the cleaned shrimp in a mixing bowl with one tablespoon of Cajun seasoning until fully coated.
Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Sear the shrimp for two minutes per side until opaque and golden, then set aside.
Add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté for one minute until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and remaining Cajun seasoning, scraping the bottom of the pan to release browned bits.
Simmer the cream mixture until slightly thickened, then stir in the parmesan cheese until melted and glossy.
Return the seared shrimp to the skillet to warm through, then toss with the cooked pasta to coat evenly.

Notes

Ensure you use full-fat heavy cream for the best texture. If the sauce becomes too thick, add a tablespoon of the pasta cooking water. You can substitute fettuccine with penne pasta if preferred.
