Description
A comforting, one-pot meal that combines savory ground beef with tender pasta in a silky, cheese-infused tomato sauce. This classic American-style dinner is perfect for hectic weeknights, offering a hearty, restaurant-quality result in under forty minutes. By cooking the pasta directly in the flavorful broth and sauce, you create a rich, velvety texture that the whole family will love with minimal cleanup required.
Ingredients
1 lb Ground Beef (85% lean)
12 oz Medium Shell Pasta
3 cups Low-sodium Beef Broth
15 oz Tomato Sauce
1/2 cup Heavy Cream
1.5 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Italian Seasoning
Instructions
Heat a large heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat.
Add ground beef and break apart with a wooden spoon.
Cook until no pink remains and edges are browned, then drain excess fat.
Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
Pour in beef broth and tomato sauce, scraping the bottom of the pan to release flavors.
Bring to a rolling boil.
Add dry pasta shells, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 10-12 minutes until pasta is tender.
Stir in the heavy cream and shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
Remove from heat and serve warm.
Notes
Use jumbo shells for larger bites if preferred. Substitute ground turkey for a leaner option. Use full-fat coconut milk as a non-dairy alternative to heavy cream. Freshly shredded cheese melts much better than pre-shredded varieties.
