Description

A creamy, dreamy frosting made from banana pudding that mimics classic flavors in a light, spreadable texture. Perfect for cakes, cupcakes, or desserts without pork, alcohol, or messy layers.

Ingredients

Refrigerated Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix, 1 packet (3.4 oz)
Milk, whole or 2%, 2 cups (480 ml)
Heavy Whipping Cream, 1 cup (240 ml)
Sugar, 3/4 cup (150 g)
Banana Puree, 1 cup (240 ml, mashed)
Vanilla Extract, 1 teaspoon
Banana Flakes (Optional), 1/4 cup (20 g)
Ice Cubes, 2 to 4

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine heavy whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Chill the bowl in the freezer for 5 minutes, then whip until stiff peaks form.
Stir in banana flakes or optional add-ins while the cream is still soft to evenly distribute without breaking the structure.
In a separate bowl, beat pudding mix with milk using a hand mixer or whisk until fully mixed. Add a few ice cubes and continue mixing for 2 minutes to cool and thicken the mixture.
Gently fold the pudding mixture into the whipped cream until fully combined.
Chill the frosting in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before using to ensure it firms up.

Notes

Use egg-free pudding mix if desired.
Substitute milk with oat or coconut milk for a vegan option.
Replace heavy cream with vegan cream alternative if necessary.
Swap sugar with honey or maple syrup for a natural sweetener.
Optional substitutions for banana flakes: crushed cookies or granola.
Ensure vanilla extract is non-alcoholic to comply with halal restrictions.
