Ingredients
1 pound Cremini mushrooms
4 ounces Cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup Yellow onion, finely chopped
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1/4 cup Fresh parsley, finely chopped
1/4 cup Plain breadcrumbs
1/4 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons Olive oil
2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon Dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
Salt to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the mushrooms by cleaning them with a damp paper towel and removing the stems
- Sauté the mushroom stems and chopped onion in olive oil and butter until soft
- Add minced garlic, oregano, and pepper, cooking until fragrant
- Combine the sautéed mixture with cream cheese, breadcrumbs, parsley, and Parmesan in a bowl
- Stuff the mushroom caps with the cream cheese mixture and place them on a baking sheet
- Sprinkle additional Parmesan on top and bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes
- Garnish with parsley and serve warm
