Ingredients

1 pound Cremini mushrooms
4 ounces Cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup Yellow onion, finely chopped
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1/4 cup Fresh parsley, finely chopped
1/4 cup Plain breadcrumbs
1/4 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons Olive oil
2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon Dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
Salt to taste


Instructions

  1. Prepare the mushrooms by cleaning them with a damp paper towel and removing the stems
  2. Sauté the mushroom stems and chopped onion in olive oil and butter until soft
  3. Add minced garlic, oregano, and pepper, cooking until fragrant
  4. Combine the sautéed mixture with cream cheese, breadcrumbs, parsley, and Parmesan in a bowl
  5. Stuff the mushroom caps with the cream cheese mixture and place them on a baking sheet
  6. Sprinkle additional Parmesan on top and bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve warm
