Ingredients
1.5 pounds Boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 tablespoons Olive oil
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 teaspoon Onion powder
1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup Honey
1/4 cup Sriracha sauce
2 tablespoons Soy sauce
1 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Fresh ginger, grated
1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tablespoons Cornstarch
4 tablespoons Cold water
2 Green onions, sliced, for garnish
1 tablespoon Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the chicken pieces dry with paper towels and toss with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper
- In a separate bowl, whisk together honey, sriracha, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, then add the seasoned chicken and sear for 3-4 minutes per side until cooked through
- Reduce the heat, add the Diablo sauce, and bring to a gentle simmer; then add cornstarch and cold water slurry, whisking until the sauce thickens
- Return the seared chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving
