Ingredients
1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
1 cup Granulated Sugar
½ cup Packed Light Brown Sugar
2 Large Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
½ cup Pure Maple Syrup
3 cups All-Purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
½ teaspoon Salt
½ cup Unsalted Butter
3 cups Powdered Sugar, sifted
¼ cup Pure Maple Syrup
2–4 tablespoons Milk
½ teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper
- Beat the softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract and pure maple syrup until combined
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until combined
- Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers are soft
- Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks
- For the icing, brown the butter in a saucepan, cool slightly, then combine with powdered sugar, maple syrup, vanilla, salt, and milk until smooth
- Ice the cookies once completely cool
