Description

Slow Cooker Pizza Burgers combine the richness of juicy burgers with the comforting taste of pizza, making for a delightful meal that's perfect for family dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

1.5 lbs Ground Beef
1 cup Marinara Sauce
1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
1 medium Onion, finely chopped
1 Green Bell Pepper, chopped
1 cup Sliced Pepperoni
1 tbsp Italian Seasoning
1 tsp Garlic Powder
Salt and Pepper to taste
6 Burger Buns
Fresh Basil for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients by chopping the onion and bell pepper
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until it's no longer pink. Drain any excess fat
  3. Transfer the cooked beef into your slow cooker. Add the marinara sauce, onion, bell pepper, sliced pepperoni, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Stir to combine
  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the mixture in the slow cooker. Cover again and let the cheese melt
  6. Toast the burger buns just before serving. Spoon the slow-cooked mixture onto the buns and garnish with fresh basil if desired
