Ingredients
2 ½ cups All-purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
¾ cup Granulated Sugar
¾ cup Light Brown Sugar, packed
2 Large Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
2 cups Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
14 ounces Soft Caramel Candies, unwrapped
2 tablespoons Heavy Cream
½ teaspoon Flaky Sea Salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until light and fluffy
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined
- Fold in the chocolate chips by hand until evenly distributed throughout the dough
- Press about two-thirds of the cookie dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pa
- Melt the caramel candies with heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth
- Pour or spread the melted caramel evenly over the cookie dough layer
- Crumble the remaining cookie dough over the caramel layer
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle flaky sea salt over the top. Let cool completely before slicing
