Ingredients
3 large ripe mangoes, peeled and finely diced
1/2 medium red onion, finely diced
1–2 jalapeño peppers, stemmed, seeded, and finely minced
1/2 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
Juice of 2–3 limes (about 1/4 cup), freshly squeezed
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Pinch of granulated sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the mangoes: Peel and finely dice the mangoes
- Dice the aromatics: Finely dice the red onion and add it to the bowl with the mango
- Mince the jalapeño: Finely mince the jalapeño and add to the bowl
- Chop the cilantro: Finely chop the cilantro and add to the bowl
- Combine and season: Pour lime juice over all ingredients and sprinkle with sea salt
- Gently mix: Fold the ingredients together without mashing the mango
