Description

Homemade jalapeno Poppers are crispy, cheesy, and perfectly spicy, making them an ideal crowd-pleaser for any occasion. This comforting dish combines fresh jalapenos with a creamy cheese filling, seasoned breadcrumbs, and can easily be customized to suit your flavor preferences.

1215 large Jalapeno peppers
8 ounces Cream cheese, softened
1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup Green onions, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon Garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon Onion powder
1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon Smoked paprika (optional)
1 cup Plain breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons Olive oil
Optional: 3-4 strips Beef bacon, cooked and finely crumbled


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Wash and dry jalapeno peppers, slice each in half lengthwise, and scoop out seeds and membranes
  2. In a bowl, mix together cream cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and smoked paprika until smooth
  3. Stuff each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture, packing it slightly over the top
  4. Coat the stuffed side of each jalapeno in the seasoned breadcrumbs mixed with olive oil
  5. Place on a lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy
  6. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving

Notes

Feel free to customize the filling with different cheeses or add ingredients like cooked chicken.

Use gloves when handling jalapenos to avoid irritation.
