Description

This Ice Cream Sandwich Cake is a dreamy, no-bake dessert made from layers of creamy ice cream sandwiches, whipped topping, and fudge. It’s easy to assemble, freezer-friendly, and perfect for birthdays, summer cookouts, or any time you crave a sweet, cold treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ice cream sandwiches
  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce, warmed slightly
  • 1/2 cup crushed Oreo cookies or chocolate wafers
  • Optional: caramel drizzle or chocolate syrup for topping

Flavor Options

  • – 1 tsp vanilla extract (for depth)
  • – 1/2 cup peanut butter mixed with fudge (Reese’s twist)
  • – 1 cup sliced strawberries or bananas (for fruit lovers)

Instructions

1. Line an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch square pan with parchment paper or foil.

2. Unwrap 6 ice cream sandwiches and arrange them in a single layer at the bottom of the pan.

3. Spread half of the whipped topping evenly over the sandwiches.

4. Drizzle or spread half of the warm fudge sauce over the topping and smooth with a spatula.

5. Repeat layers: add remaining 6 sandwiches, then whipped topping, then fudge sauce.

6. Sprinkle crushed Oreos or cookies over the top. Add caramel or chocolate drizzle if desired.

7. Cover tightly with foil or plastic wrap and freeze at least 2–3 hours, or overnight.

8. Before serving, remove from freezer for 10 minutes to soften slightly.

9. Lift from pan using parchment, slice, and serve immediately.

Notes

Storage: Keep frozen and covered for up to 1 week for best texture.

Make Ahead: Prepare 1–2 days before serving. It slices beautifully when frozen overnight.

Serving Tip: Warm knife under hot water between cuts for clean slices.

Variations: Try mint chocolate, peanut butter, or strawberry shortcake versions for fun twists.

Party Tip: Top with sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, or toffee bits for an extra festive touch.
