Homemade Peanut Butter Cups are a delicious treat that combines creamy peanut butter with rich chocolate. They are simple to make and customizable to suit your taste.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups Smooth Creamy Peanut Butter
½ cup Unsalted Butter, melted
1 ¾ cups Powdered Sugar
Pinch of Salt (optional)
2 cups Good Quality Chocolate Chips
1 tablespoon Coconut Oil (optional)
18–24 Mini Paper Cupcake Liners
Instructions
- Prepare the muffin tin by lining it with paper or silicone liners
- In a medium bowl, combine the peanut butter, melted butter, powdered sugar, and salt until a thick dough forms
- Roll the dough into small balls and flatten into discs
- Chill the peanut butter discs in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes
- Melt the chocolate and optional coconut oil in a microwave or double boiler
- Spoon 1-2 teaspoons of melted chocolate into each liner, covering the bottom
- Place a peanut butter disc on top of the chocolate layer
- Cover the disc with more melted chocolate, ensuring it's completely covered
- Optional: Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt flakes on top
- Chill in the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes until set
- Carefully remove from liners and enjoy
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 weeks.
These can also be frozen for up to 2-3 months.
