Ingredients
1 (13.8 ounce) tube refrigerated pizza dough
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup finely diced beef pepperoni
1 large egg
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper
- Unroll the refrigerated pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface and stretch it into a rectangle
- Cut the dough into 8 equal rectangles
- In a medium bowl, combine the pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, and finely diced pepperoni
- Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the filling onto one half of each dough rectangle
- Fold the empty half of the dough over the filling to create a pocket and press down firmly around the edges to seal
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water to create an egg wash
- Transfer the sealed pizza pockets to the prepared baking sheet, brush with the egg wash, and cut small slits on top
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and puffed
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving
