Description

A nostalgic Homemade Cheeseburger Pie that combines the flavors of a classic cheeseburger in a comforting pie form. It's easy to make and perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale

1 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 ½ pounds Lean Ground Beef
1 large Yellow Onion, finely chopped
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Black Pepper
1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
¼ cup Ketchup
2 tablespoons Yellow Mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
½ cup Dill Pickle Relish
1 (8-ounce) package Crescent Roll Dough
1 ½ cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
½ cup Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese (optional)
2 large Eggs
½ cup Milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until fully browned, then drain excess fat
  3. Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened. Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder, cooking until fragrant
  4. Remove from heat and mix in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and dill pickle relish
  5. Unroll the crescent roll dough into the prepared pie dish, sealing any seams if necessary
  6. Spread half of the cheddar cheese on the crust, then spoon the beef mixture on top, followed by the remaining cheese and optional Monterey Jack
  7. Whisk together the eggs and milk, then pour the mixture over the pie filling
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and set

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free crescent roll dough or pie crust.

You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
