  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C)
  2. Prepare the pie crust in a pie plate
  3. Melt the butter in a medium bowl or saucepa
  4. Combine melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and corn syrup in a bowl and whisk until smooth
  5. In a separate bowl, lightly beat the eggs and then whisk them into the sugar mixture. Stir in vanilla and salt
  6. Add 1 1/2 cups of pecan halves to the filling
  7. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust and arrange the reserved pecan halves on top
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes until the edges are set and the center has a slight wobble
  9. Cool completely on a wire rack before serving
