- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups pecan halves
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C)
- Prepare the pie crust in a pie plate
- Melt the butter in a medium bowl or saucepa
- Combine melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and corn syrup in a bowl and whisk until smooth
- In a separate bowl, lightly beat the eggs and then whisk them into the sugar mixture. Stir in vanilla and salt
- Add 1 1/2 cups of pecan halves to the filling
- Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust and arrange the reserved pecan halves on top
- Bake for 50-60 minutes until the edges are set and the center has a slight wobble
- Cool completely on a wire rack before serving
