Description

This Easy Potsticker Soup Recipe combines savory flavors with minimal effort, making it perfect for any home cook. With frozen potstickers and a range of simple ingredients, this soup is a comforting meal that can be made in under 30 minutes.


Ingredients

1 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 small Yellow Onion, chopped
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger, grated
6 cups Chicken Broth or Vegetable Broth
1/2 cup Soy Sauce (low sodium preferred)
1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
1 teaspoon Sesame Oil, for finishing
1 pound Frozen Chicken or Beef Potstickers/Dumplings
2 cups Fresh Spinach, roughly chopped
1 cup Sliced Mushrooms (cremini or shiitake)
1 cup Shredded Carrots
2 Green Onions, sliced, for garnish
1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)


Instructions

  1. Heat the Olive Oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the Onion and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the Garlic and Ginger, cooking for an additional minute
  2. Pour in the Chicken Broth, Soy Sauce, and Rice Vinegar. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 5-7 minutes
  3. Add Mushrooms and Carrots to the broth, cooking for 3-5 minutes until slightly softened
  4. Carefully add the Frozen Potstickers to the soup and cook according to package instructions until they are heated through
  5. Stir in the Fresh Spinach until wilted, about 1-2 minutes
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the Sesame Oil and Red Pepper Flakes. Serve immediately, garnished with sliced Green Onions

For best results, do not overcrowd the pot while cooking potstickers.
