These Easy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies are soft, chewy, and loaded with peanut butter flavor and chocolate chips. Perfect for beginners and seasoned bakers alike!
Ingredients
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup peanut butter chips (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Cream together peanut butter, butter, brown sugar, and sugar until smooth.
3. Beat in egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix into wet ingredients.
5. Fold in chocolate chips and peanut butter chips.
6. Scoop dough onto baking sheet and bake 9–11 minutes.
7. Cool on sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
Notes
Chill dough for thicker cookies.
Avoid overbaking for chewy centers.
Swap creamy peanut butter with chunky for added crunch.
