Description

This Dump and Go Crockpot Teriyaki Chicken is the ultimate easy weeknight dinner. With just a few simple ingredients and no prep required, you’ll have tender, flavorful chicken coated in a homemade teriyaki sauce the whole family will love.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey or brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (or 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger)
  • 1/4 cup water or chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (for thickening)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Place chicken in slow cooker and add soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and water. Stir gently to coat.

2. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until chicken is tender.

3. Remove chicken and shred with two forks.

4. In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of the cooking liquid until smooth. Add this slurry back into the slow cooker.

5. Return shredded chicken to the pot and cook for another 10–15 minutes, until sauce thickens.

6. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

Use chicken thighs for juicier meat.

Add pineapple chunks for extra sweetness.

Double the sauce if you love extra flavor—it’s perfect over rice.

Freezes beautifully; just reheat gently with a splash of water.
