Description

Flaky golden croissants filled with rich Nutella. Make an easy 3-ingredient version or authentic homemade croissants.

Quick Version (8 servings):

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (10x10 in), thawed
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

From-Scratch Version (12 servings):

  • 4 cups (500 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) sugar
  • 1 tbsp (10 g) instant yeast
  • 2 tsp (10 g) salt
  • 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk, warm
  • 2 tbsp (30 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups (340 g) cold butter (for laminating)
  • 3/4 cup (200 g) Nutella
  • 1 egg + 1 tbsp milk (egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut puff pastry into triangles.
  3. Spoon Nutella onto wide end.
  4. Roll into croissant shape, seal edges, brush with egg wash.
  5. Bake 15–18 minutes until golden.

For homemade version:

  1. Mix flour, sugar, yeast, salt, milk, and butter into dough.
  2. Laminate dough with butter, folding to create layers.
  3. Chill, roll into triangles, spread Nutella.
  4. Shape into croissants, proof until puffy.
  5. Bake until golden and flaky.

Notes

Store croissants in an airtight container up to 3 days.

Freeze baked croissants for up to 2 months.

Reheat in oven or air fryer for crisp flakiness.
