Description

Crispy Air-Fryer Banana Chips deliver golden crunch with minimal oil. Sweet or savory, these healthy chips make the perfect anytime snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 firm bananas (yellow with green tips)
  • 1 cup cold water + 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 12 tsp neutral oil or oil spray (optional)
  • Pinch fine sea salt
  • Optional Sweet: 1 tsp cinnamon + 1–2 tsp coconut sugar
  • Optional Savory: 1/2 tsp garlic powder + 1/4 tsp smoked paprika OR 1 tsp everything-bagel seasoning OR 1/2 tsp chili powder + lime zest

Instructions

1. Combine lemon juice and water. Slice bananas into 1/8-inch coins and soak 5 minutes.

2. Pat slices dry; mist with oil and season with salt and desired spices.

3. Arrange slices in a single layer in air fryer basket (perforated parchment optional).

4. Air-fry at 325°F (165°C) for 8–10 minutes. Flip, then cook another 6–10 minutes until golden.

5. Reduce to 300°F (150°C) for 2–6 minutes to dry. Cool fully on a rack before storing.

Notes

Use slightly underripe bananas for best crunch.

Dry slices completely before air-frying to avoid sogginess.

Cool fully before storing in airtight container with paper towel.

Re-crisp at 300°F (150°C) for 2–3 minutes if needed.
