Description

Creamy Hot Cocoa with Torched Marshmallows is a rich and velvety drink topped with perfectly torched marshmallows that add a sweet, gooey topping.


Ingredients

2 cups Milk
2 tablespoons Cocoa Powder
2 tablespoons Sugar or to taste
1/2 cup Heavy Cream
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Pinch of Salt
1 cup Large Marshmallows


Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, cocoa powder, and sugar over medium heat
  2. Keep stirring until the cocoa powder and sugar fully dissolve, and the mixture is well-combined
  3. Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla extract, then add a pinch of salt
  4. Continue heating the mixture until it's steaming hot but not boiling
  5. Once heated, pour the cocoa into mugs
  6. Top each mug with a few large marshmallows
  7. Using a kitchen torch, carefully toast the marshmallows until golden brow

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute milk and heavy cream with plant-based alternatives.

Adjust the sweetness to your preference.
