1 (8-ounce) package Cream Cheese, softened
1 (8-ounce) can Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough
1 large Egg, whisked (for egg wash)
2 tablespoons Fresh Chives, finely chopped (optional)
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
Pinch of Red Pepper Flakes (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened Cream Cheese, Garlic Powder, and Black Pepper. Mix until smooth
  3. Unroll the Crescent Roll Dough and separate it into triangles
  4. Spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of the Cream Cheese mixture onto the wider end of each triangle
  5. Roll each triangle from the wide end toward the narrower point and pinch the seams to seal
  6. Place the rolled Poppers seam-side down on the baking sheet
  7. Brush the tops with the whisked Egg
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden and puffed
  9. Remove from oven, garnish with chives if desired, and let cool slightly before serving

Notes

Make sure to not overfill to prevent leaks.

Parmesan cheese or other cheese blends can add extra flavor.
