Description

Comforting Shredded Chicken with Gravy: Tender chicken in rich, creamy gravy over mashed potatoes. Budget-friendly comfort food with just 5 ingredients!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 (10.5 oz) cans cream of chicken soup
  • 1 packet chicken gravy mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Place chicken in baking dish or slow cooker; season lightly.

2. Whisk soup, gravy mix, and broth; pour over chicken.

3. Bake covered at 400°F for 45 mins or slow cook low 5-6 hours.

4. Shred chicken in pot; stir in sour cream. Serve hot.

Notes

Oven or Crockpot both work great.

Use thighs for extra juiciness.

Freeze leftovers up to 3 months.

Thicken gravy with cornstarch slurry if needed.

Perfect over mashed potatoes or rice.
