Description

This Cinnamon Roll French Toast Casserole is a cozy one-baking-dish breakfast combining soft cinnamon rolls with a rich egg custard and crumbly streusel topping, finished with a sweet icing drizzle.

  • 2 cans (17.5 oz each) refrigerated cinnamon rolls, with icing reserved
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk (or half & half)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cut into pieces
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Cooking spray or melted butter for greasing

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.

2. Cut cinnamon rolls into quarters and spread evenly in dish.

3. Whisk eggs, milk, and maple syrup; pour evenly over rolls.

4. Combine flour, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon for streusel; sprinkle on top.

5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and custard is set.

6. Drizzle reserved icing over casserole.
