Description

This Chicken Cobbler Dinner Casserole is pure cozy comfort — creamy chicken and vegetables baked under a layer of golden, buttery biscuits. Made with simple ingredients and ready in under an hour, it’s the perfect family dinner that tastes like a hug in a dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 ½ cups frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8-count)
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • **Optional Add-Ins**
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ cup cooked bacon pieces
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme or parsley

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, mixed vegetables, cheese, and black pepper. Stir until evenly combined.

3. Pour the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

4. Arrange the biscuit dough pieces evenly on top of the filling. They can touch slightly.

5. Brush the tops of the biscuits with melted butter.

6. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown and the filling is bubbling at the edges.

7. Let the casserole rest for 5–10 minutes before serving to allow the filling to thicken.

Notes

**Storage:** Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

**Reheating:** Warm in the oven at 350°F for 10–12 minutes or microwave individual portions for 1–2 minutes.

**Freezing:** Freeze fully cooled casserole portions for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating.

**Make-Ahead Tip:** Assemble the filling a day in advance, refrigerate, and bake with biscuits just before serving.

**Flavor Variations:** Try adding buffalo sauce, bacon, or extra cheese for fun twists!
