Ingredients

Scale

1 tablespoon Olive oil
1 ½ pounds Ground beef (80/20 lean)
1 large Yellow onion, chopped
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Black pepper
1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
½ teaspoon Garlic powder
¼ teaspoon Onion powder
½ cup Beef broth
½ cup Ketchup
¼ cup Yellow mustard
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Brown sugar (optional)
1 (28-ounce) bag Frozen crinkle-cut French fries
2 cups Shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
Optional toppings: Sliced pickles, Chopped tomatoes, Chopped lettuce, Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish

  4. Pour in beef broth, ketchup, yellow mustard, and Worcestershire sauce, bringing to a simmer. Let it gently bubble for 5-7 minutes
  5. Spread frozen French fries in a single layer in the prepared baking dish
  6. Pour the beef mixture over the fries, spread out evenly, then sprinkle with cheddar and mozzarella cheese
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brow
  8. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving with optional toppings

Notes

Do not thaw the French fries before baking to ensure they stay crispy.
