Description
This Buffalo Chicken Dip is rich, creamy, and spicy. Shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, and melty cheeses make a crowd-pleasing game day appetizer.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup buffalo hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing (or blue cheese dressing)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar
- 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)
- 1 tbsp chopped green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375 F (190 C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking dish or small skillet.
2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, buffalo sauce, and ranch until smooth.
3. Fold in shredded chicken, mozzarella, and cheddar until evenly coated.
4. Spread mixture into the baking dish; sprinkle a little extra cheese on top if desired.
5. Bake 20-25 minutes until hot and bubbly around the edges.
6. Garnish with green onions (and blue cheese crumbles if using). Serve warm with chips or veggies.
Notes
Use rotisserie chicken for speed and great flavor.
For milder heat, add more ranch or cream cheese; for spicier, add extra hot sauce or a pinch of cayenne.
Make ahead: assemble, cover, and refrigerate up to 2 days; bake before serving.
Leftovers keep up to 4 days refrigerated; reheat gently and stir.
