1/2 cup (about 60g) walnuts, finely chopped
2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves, finely chopped
1 large egg, whisked (for egg wash)
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon honey (optional)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Pinch of salt (optional)


Instructions

  1. Lightly flour a clean surface and unfold the thawed puff pastry sheet
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  3. In a small bowl, mix blue cheese, walnuts, thyme, black pepper, and honey
  4. Brush puff pastry with olive oil and spread the cheese mixture over half
  5. Fold the pastry over the filling and seal the edges
  6. Cut into strips and twist each strip several times
  7. Place twisted strips on the baking sheet and brush with egg wash
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed
