Soft, chewy Banana Bread Cookies with chocolate chips. Banana dessert recipe you’ll want every time.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup light brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg, room temp
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment.
2. Cream butter and sugars. Add mashed bananas, egg, and vanilla.
3. Whisk dry ingredients together separately. Combine with wet ingredients.
4. Fold in chocolate chips.
5. Scoop onto sheets about 2 inches apart.
6. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are golden, centers still soft.
7. Cool briefly on sheet, then transfer to wire rack.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas (lots of brown spots) for maximum flavor.
Measure flour carefully; too much causes dryness.
Don’t overbake; cookies firm up as they cool.
Cookies freeze well; thaw before serving.
