Description
Baked Ham and Cheese Croissants are flaky croissants filled with savory ham and gooey melted cheese, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a light dinner.
Ingredients

6 large Croissants
12 slices Deli Ham
6 slices Cheddar Cheese
1 large Egg
1 tablespoon Water
1–2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard (optional)
1 tablespoon Fresh Chives or Parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
- Slice each croissant horizontally, leaving a small hinge intact
- Spread Dijon mustard on the bottom half of each croissant if using
- Layer 2 slices of ham and 1 slice of cheese in each croissant
- Reassemble and arrange croissants on the baking sheet
- Whisk together egg and water to make an egg wash
- Brush the tops of each croissant with egg wash
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving
Notes
Day-old croissants hold their shape better when sliced.
Don't overfill the croissants to prevent sogginess.
