Description

This Apple Streusel Bread is a delightful blend of tender, moist apple-spiced bread topped with a buttery, crumbly streusel. Perfect for any time of the year, it captures warmth and comfort reminiscent of a grandmother’s kitchen.

Ingredients

Scale

½ cup Unsalted Butter, melted
¾ cup Granulated Sugar
½ cup All-purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamo
¼ teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
1 ½ cups All-purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
½ teaspoon Baking Soda
½ teaspoon Ground Cinnamo
¼ teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
¼ teaspoon Salt
½ cup Unsalted Butter, softened
¾ cup Granulated Sugar
2 Large Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
½ cup Milk
1 ½ cups Finely Diced Apples

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by greasing and flouring it
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together melted butter, granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg to create the streusel topping
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt
  4. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar, then beat in the eggs, followed by the vanilla extract
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk until just combined
  6. Fold in the diced apples gently into the batter
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and top with the streusel mix
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clea
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely

Notes

Ensure that your apples are firm and crisp for the best texture in the bread.

The streusel topping adds a crunchy contrast to the moist bread; be generous with it.
